Town home on sloping site featuring clerestory windows
This home was designed in house to maximise living space and light on a sloping block. The entryway invites you through to the living area with pendant lights visible from the exterior. The split roof design allows for the feature clerestory windows that open to allow air flow as well as an abundance of natural light into the open plan kitchen, dining and lounge areas.
The raked ceilings add a touch of grandeur to the feel of the home reaching up to over 5m. But it doesn't just provide looks, the sloping ceilings draw hot air up through the windows, meaning less need for air conditioning during the warmer months. The home is also heavily insulated to improve heating and cooling efficiency.
